Iranian short ‘The Other’ vying in India

Iranian short flick ‘The Other’ has been competing at the 2021 edition of the Mithiwood Film Festival (MFF) in India.

Directed by Zahra Torkamanlou, the short film tells the story of a person who is unable to recover the internal identity and the outside situation is not in favor.

The cast list includes Mohaddeseh Heyrat, Farzad Mohammadzadeh, and Hassan Salmani.

The short flick has previously participated in several festivals, including the Best of Latin America Short Film Festival and the Flickfair Film Festival, both in the US, as well as the Alter do Chão Film Festival in Brazil.

Launched in 2019, the MFF provides a space for young filmmakers to show their talents and to interact and learn.

The two-day event started on January 30 and will come to an end on January 31.
